This letter is the very last thing on my list before pressing go on The Buff's brand new website. This platform is the culmination of months of work from an incredible team collaborating across countless timezones, London, Sydney, New York, Brisbane, Columbus, and beyond, and I haven't been quite sure how to put such a huge effort into a few words.
I first launched The Buff last year on a hunch: Skincare should be customized, I thought. It should hand women back the controls and help them take charge of their own beauty routine. It should also be cruelty-free and natural and waste as little plastic as possible. It should be effective and it should be affordable.

Over the past 10 months, I've had thousands of interactions with women about beauty; about what makes us feel good as much as what makes us look good. I learned women want simplicity, transparency, and the exact ingredients that work for their skin. No fillers, no BS. I learned our hunch was right, over and over and over again. So, now, we're launching new tools to truly hand the controls over to women—to help you discover the best, cleanest ingredients for your skincare routine, and learn how to use them. You deserve to know exactly what you're getting, which is why our new skin quiz recommends a detailed, curated beauty oil formula.
I truly believe there is no such thing as one-size-fits-all when it comes to skincare. It's why we built a brand that tailors our blends to your exact needs and even lets you monogram and customize your packaging. We do skincare for women—and guys—who know the future of beauty is clean, uncomplicated, cruelty-free, and customized.
But you already know this, because you're here, which means you likely already have your very own initials printed on a The Buff oil in your vanity. So, what's new for The Buff veterans returning to stock up on skincare? We've built you an interactive skin quiz to help you learn exactly which natural ingredients will work for you. There is a detailed A—Z ingredient list delivering all the clean skincare information you need to know. If knowledge is power, you're about to have your own Gal Gadot Wonder Woman moment.
Our new intuitive customization tool also allows you to personalize and preview your packaging live, online. Use it to change the color of your label's packaging and to monogram your initials.
The Prettyish, where you're reading this, is home to compelling, entertaining, and informative beauty and wellness stories. Here you will find interviews with real women and experts alike. We're going deep into the skincare routines of some of our favorite influencers and much-loved customers (that's you!), spotlighting game-changing ingredients, publishing wellness advice from industry greats, and delivering all The Buff news here for you every day. We have big plans for The Prettyish and you can keep on top of our top stories by simply raising your hand to receive our weekly email. There's going to be a lot to talk about this year: New products, events, and even pop-up stores. You won't want to miss it.
